Dr. James St. Louis
My name is Dr. James St. Louis and I am currently the Chief of Pediatric Cardiac Transplant Surgery at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. After completing medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine, I accepted a cardiothoracic residency at Duke University under Dr. David Sabiston. With completion of my general surgery and adult cardiothoracic surgery residency, I accepted a one year fellowship in neonatal and pediatric cardiac surgery at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. I then accepted a staff at Brown University and the Rhode Island hospital. Prior to joining the staff at Children’s Mercy, I was Chief of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at the University of Minnesota. My current practice focuses on all facets of congenital heart disease as well as heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and mechanical assist devices.
