I have been a nurse for over 30 years now and have worked in many different areas of nursing and a couple of different countries. I started my nursing career in Canada, in Psychiatry as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse, then went on to become a Registered Nurse working in emergency, maternity, medicine, surgery, and for the past 23 years, perioperative nursing.
I have been working at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre since 2000 and am looking forward to a few more years before I retire. I started at KFSH&RC as a Staff Nurse in the OR, specializing in Neurosurgery, then went on to do the surgical scheduling. In 2005, I joined the Nursing Informatics Team and was the superuser/trainer for Surginet and also supervised the OR schedulers. I now work in Perioperative Services department where I supervise the schedulers and prepare reports.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a “Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration” last year from Grand Canyon University in Arizona.
